Another Virtuous Person Passed Away from This World...

A virtuous person named Prof. Dr. Nasih �inasi �zsoylu (1927� 2022) passed away from this world.

Our teacher passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 94 and left behind thousands of doctors he trained, thousands of scientific articles he published, and hundreds of thousands of patients he treated. Above all, he taught his students to be human.

He tried to spread goodness and beauty in the world until his last breath.

He was a magnificent person, a faithful servant, a wise doctor, a wise teacher, and a hardworking and humble scientist.

He would greet every person he saw, ask about their well-being, and treat patients mercifully.

Once, when he was invited to our hospital to give a lecture to the doctors, he greeted everyone he saw on the corridor of the hospital one by one. Despite some people did not receive our teacher's greetings, he continued to greet.

"Sir, you greet everyone, but many don't recieve" when we said this, he raised his index finger and gave the following answer that would embarrass us.

"It is enough that Allah just knows!" He taught us a lesson that we will never forget for the rest of our lives.

He attained one of the highest positions in the field of medicine, including working at Harvard University.

He was one of the founders of the Hacettepe University and a valuable member of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences. He had been Editor and Honorary Editor of our journal for years.

I don't know if such a beautiful person will come into this world again, but our loss is great. He was a role model to be looked up as an example.

May Allah bless my beloved teacher in paradise, who taught me a lot personally; may his soul rest in peace.
