Bagasse, wood pulp and rice straw pulps were beaten to different degrees, paper sheets were prepared from each beaten sample. Physical properties and crystallinity of each sample were determined. The results obtained shows that the strength properties of prepared paper sheets increased by increasing beating except the tear factor. A rough positive relation can be found between tear and crystallinity. Keywords: Paper pulp, crystallinity, paper sheets
